At SKOPE we stand behind our products and encourage you to enjoy the increased performance and reliability of a new SKOPE cabinet, backed by our warranty and recommended maintenance programme for complete peace of mind.

To receive a warranty for your purchased cabinet, you MUST register your cabinet within four weeks from the date of invoice by filling out the warranty form online or calling 0800 947 5673. Cabinets that are not registered within the four weeks are not eligible for a warranty.

Any purchase of a SKOPE product is subject to and strictly upon SKOPE's Terms and Conditions of Sale which may vary without notice. If you do not have convenient Web access, SKOPE will send you a copy of the terms upon request by fax or telephone.

Warranty Procedures

To report a problem with your cabinet, phone SKOPE (not your Dealer) on 0800 947 5673 or .

Please ensure you have the serial number and model type from the inside top of your cabinet, the site address, contact name, phone number, purchase date and fault description available when you call our Customer Services team. Once we have received all of these details, we will confirm that the repair to the cabinet is covered under the Warranty and dispatch an authorised service agent.

No warranty claim will be accepted unless authorised by SKOPE prior to commencement of the service.

Cabinet Warranty Terms

SKOPE Industries Limited warrants to the original purchaser of a SKOPE refrigeration cabinet installed in New Zealand that, for the period shown in the table above from the date of purchase or 6 months from date of manufacture (whichever is earlier), any defect in workmanship or material (not covered in the exclusions below) resulting in the product malfunctioning, while under correct use, will be repaired or replaced. Liability under this warranty is limited to replacing or repairing a part without charge.

Warranty for the SKOPE Cyclone™ refrigeration unit is conditional upon regular cleaning of the condenser coil by a SKOPE Approved Agent on a frequency determined by SKOPE (or their Approved Agent), depending on the site and environment, but at least annually.

Liability under this warranty does not include:

  • Any loss damage or expenses directly or indirectly arising from use or inability to use the product or from any other cause.
  • Any part of the refrigeration cabinet which has been subject to misuse, neglect, alteration, incorrect installation, incorrect environment, accident or to damage caused by vermin, non-SKOPE arranged transportation, use of abrasive chemicals or materials, flooding, fire or acts of God.
  • Breakage of glass or plastic components or the replacement of fluorescent tubes, door seals/gaskets or core probes.
  • Installation or removal costs other than standard labour costs by our authorised agents during normal working hours.
  • Travelling time in excess of 100 kms, or 1½ hours from authorised service agent, whichever is the least.
  • Service outside of normal business hours (excluding the SK models under a basic maintenance programme). This service is available if required, but an ‘out of hours’ surcharge will apply.
  • Where the refrigeration cabinet has been installed without an adequate power supply, or with inadequate ventilation, or if the airflow within the cabinet has been adversely affected due to product blocking the air ducts.
  • Repairs or maintenance carried out by anyone other than an authorised SKOPE dealer or service agent.
  • Repairs resulting from a failure to maintain the refrigeration cabinet in a manner specified by SKOPE, or having the preventative maintenance servicing done.
  • Where SKOPE’s badging, identification numbers, plates or marks have been altered or removed.

This warranty does not extend:

  • To products supplied under corporate accounts as determined from time to time by SKOPE.
  • Beyond repairing the SKOPE cabinet when the condensing unit is remote from the cabinet.

The liability under this warranty is dependent on an assessment by SKOPE to determine the defect in workmanship or materials.

SKOPE does not guarantee that any service to be performed under this warranty will be carried out within any particular time limit.

Specific Ice Maker Warranty Terms

Liability under this warranty is dependent on:

  • The machine being installed following the SKOPE approved installation guidelines.
  • The machine being regularly (minimum 6 monthly) maintained using SKOPE’s maintenance procedures.
  • Only chemical cleaners supplied by SKOPE are used to service the machine.
  • The standard of electrical supply, water supply and adequate drainage and ventilation.

Maintenance Programmes

Commercial refrigeration cabinets require regular preventative maintenance to ensure performance. The Maintenance Programmes offered by SKOPE ensure that your refrigeration servicing is done regularly with minimum fuss. These programmes ensure that you get the best out of your cabinet, maximise your energy savings, and save you time and money on unnecessary callouts.

Base Maintenance Programme

The base maintenance programme costs $120 +GST / year for the initial warranty period of the product, and includes:

  • An initial 6 week check to ensure that the cabinet has been installed correctly in an appropriate environment and that you and your staff understand how to maximise your new purchase.
  • One annual maintenance visit per year.
  • SK chiller models only – 24 hour warranty breakdown service.

Extended Maintenance Programme

You can extend the warranty of your cabinet by purchasing an extended maintenance programme for an additional $120 +GST / year for a standard installation. For cabinets in applications such as bakeries, which require higher levels of service, the maintenance cost will be adjusted according to the frequency required. The extended maintenance programme includes:

  • Annual cabinet preventative maintenance visits following the expiration of the initial base warranty period.

Warranty Extension

By purchasing an Extended Maintenance Programme you are therefore eligible to extend the warranty of your cabinet.

Warranty Extension

All cabinet warranties are eligible to be extended by 1 year at the time of purchase or cabinet registration on purchase of a SKOPE Warranty Extension at a cost of:

  • AUD180 + GST for a SKOPE chiller
  • AUD240 + GST for a SKOPE freezer

Please advise your dealer at time of purchase whether you require an extended warranty.

  • The standard of electrical supply, water supply, and adequate drainage and ventilation.
